Adjustable Intrinsic Plus Positioning
The Boxer Splint achieves optimal immobilization through its Adjustable Design. The malleable palmar and dorsal aluminum stays are easily bent by a clinician to secure the patient’s hand in the crucial intrinsic plus position. This technique immobilizes the hand with the metacarpophalangeal (MP) joints flexed at $60^\circ – 70^\circ$ and the interphalangeal (IP) joints fully extended.
